Have you ever wished you had an extra set of hands when you were working on a project? Do you have the problem that whenever you work on something, you have to drag what you're working on to wherever your bench is in the shop? These situations are anything but convenient and happen more often than we care to admit, especially when the bench is covered with piles of other stuff. Ever noticed that when you go to the store there are many types of clamping or vise systems to choose from but most require that you work off a steel or wood bench?
THE BIG IDEA:
Narrowway Innovations has designed a clamping system that is portable, lightweight, and detaches into two pieces. This makes it easy to move and take anywhere you want your work to be done. What's unique about this system is that it functions on a horizontal plane and can be operated with your foot, hence the name "StepVice". All you have to do is adjust the vice to the thickness of material you're working on, step on the foot pedal to open the jaws, place material between jaws and remove your foot. It's simple as step, clamp, go! It’s quick and easy.
WHY THIS IDEA IS BETTER THAN THE REST:
This system can handle material flat or round up to 5" thick. It has been used in various trades; woodworking, plumbing, welding, steel fabrication, framing, plasma cutting, and even fixing kids bicycles, to name a few. The Step Vice is the perfect tool for industrial and everyday use by the “do-it-yourselfer”.
THE SKY'S THE LIMIT:
With funds raised, Narrowway Innovations will be able to get this business off the ground. Expenses include a computer, website, and trademarks.
