The Uptown Bay City development is already a hub for business, and soon it will have a place for new entrepreneurs to find assistance in growing their companies. The Central Michigan University Research Corporation, a nonprofit business incubator, is opening an office in the Uptown Place building.
While it serves an 8-county region, CMURC CEO and President Erin Strang said it’s only had a physical presence in Mt. Pleasant until now. She calls Uptown Bay City a great environment for new companies.
At the Uptown Bay City location, CMURC will offer office space for entrepreneurs, along with a range of services to help their business grow. The office is expected to open in February.
