THREE NEW MEMBERS ADDED TO GLEN OAKS ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME - WBET, Mike Stiles

(CENTREVILLE) – Three new members have been inducted into the Glen Oaks Community College Athletic Hall Of Fame.

Saturday afternoon between the men's and women's basketball game, Glen Oaks inducted Erin Strang of Mount Pleasant Michigan, along with Larry Engle and Mike Miller, both of Colon into their Hall Of Fame.

Strang, who graduated from Sturgis High School, played volleyball for two years at Glen Oaks where she received her Associate of General Studies degree in 2000.

She says Glen Oaks was a great place for her to attend after graduating high school.

She then continued her playing career at Lake Superior State while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Currently, she is the President and CEO of the Central Michigan University Research Group.

Larry Engle has worked the basketball scorer's table at Glen Oaks for the past 32 years. He was a member of the first men's basketball team at Glen Oaks and was in the first graduating class at the college.

Engle says during his time at Glen Oaks is when he decided what to do as a career.

After graduating from Western Michigan University, Engle taught and coached at Colon High School for 37 years

Miller has been a fixture at the basketball scorer's table for 22 years. He worked as general manager for 44 years at the Abbott Magic Company in Colon. He says he has seen several great players come through the basketball programs and move on to four year schools.

Miller says he is happy Glen Oaks was here for them to be able to play and go to class.
