MY “AHA” MOMENT
I purchased a 118 year old church 15 years ago with the intention of using it as an art studio and gallery space. I developed the lower level as my studio while the upper level remained virtually unused. Over the years I have loaned the sanctuary space to family and friends for various social gatherings. With each event it became clearer to me that the best use of the sanctuary space was as an event venue.

THE BIG IDEA
My big idea is to renovate the former sanctuary space to be used as an event venue. The space is large enough to host events for up to 150 guests. This former church is situated on a large fenced corner lot and is conveniently located about 1 ½ miles from downtown Bay City.

WHY MY IDEA IS BETTER THAN THE REST
My idea is better than the rest because my building is filled with turn of the century charm. It has 14’ ceilings with the original decorative tin panels, craftsman style stained glass windows, hardwood floors, the original church bell high in its tower and phenomenal acoustics. In addition to the charms of the interior, the large piece of property is ideal for outdoor events. Plans are underway to develop the grounds into a magnificent garden space that will add grandeur and elegance to any event. This venue is destined to become the “MUST HAVE” event space for your special occasion.

THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
The funds raised will be used to help develop a website and begin renovations to the event space.
