MY “AHA” MOMENT
Libby Rapin & Lisa Thompson have personal stories of why they’re committed to tackling the mental health crisis and helping people heal and transform their lives. While building their businesses, they realized the large number of burned out and exhausted women yearning for affordable outlets to learn about “new ways of being”. For this reason, in combination with their shared interest to expand their reach and make a greater impact in the community, they’re partnering to create Oh, Infinite Love
THE BIG IDEA
1 in 5 U.S. adults suffers from any mental illness, and sadly, Michigan has a shortage of mental health providers (400:1). Oh, Infinite Love is an alternative solution for people suffering from mental illness. Imagine an RV traveling around the state, starting in Bay City, providing pop-up “mental health support on wheels.” The goal is to bring affordable healing resources to low income neighborhoods through in-person workshops.
WHY MY IDEA IS BETTER THAN THE REST
In the state of Michigan, our team has yet to learn of any businesses, who are executing a similar pop-up business strategy specifically targeting the mental health space, which makes Oh, Infinite Love a unique and accessible business idea. Libby and Lisa’s leadership, personalities and mindset are a major advantage as well because of their personal missions to be catalysts for healing.
THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
Oh, Infinite Love would utilize the funds from this competition to purchase an RV to travel in, design branding and marketing materials and cover costs for the kick-off event happening on International Women’s Day in March 2020. Any remaining funds will go towards the 2020 Michigan Roadshow.
