BAY CITY — Central Michigan University Research Center is giving new business owners a way to get their ideas off the ground.
The business 'incubator,' located in Bay City, will offer an open workspace for new entrepreneurs looking to make their dreams a reality.
"Maybe add some new ideas from experts in different fields," said CMURC spokesperson Kirsten Simmons. "To get some assistance on developing a product and bringing that product to life."
The office just opened a few days ago, and there are already 10 tenants renting out spaces.
Officials from the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce say this is just what the community needs as it continues to grow.
"Quite honestly, a lot of starting a business is the courage to start," said Ryan Carley of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. "They've got individuals that can support somebody from front to end when it comes to starting a business.
