Downtown Restaurant Investments recently announced the arrival of its new food truck, Molasses On The Road. The truck and trailer are a self-sufficient BBQ unit that will feature the menu offerings from Molasses Smokehouse BBQ in Midland.
Molasses On The Road is currently parked at 207 Center Ave. in Bay City on weekends and has seating available to enjoy the Saginaw Street Promenade with to-go drinks available from American Kitchen, Old City Hall Restaurant and Tavern101. During the week, the truck will be making stops at locations throughout the region.
“Due to the continued demand for Molasses BBQ in Midland, we have decided to take the food mobile and make it available throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. We can accommodate large groups and gatherings of any kind. Please call 989 859-6618 to arrange your event featuring the food truck," said Kurt Busard, chief operating officer at DRI.
Molasses On The Road is a great way to enjoy BBQ without the work. It is perfect for family and corporate events. The menu features BBQ meats, sides and deserts.
“Real BBQ can take a whole day to prepare and cook,” said Mike Malusi, pitmaster at Molasses Smokehouse. “We make brisket, pulled pork, turkey, sausage, tri tip, salmon and ribs on a daily basis so let us do the work for you."
