MTW Industries in Mt. Pleasant has won a “Best Small Business Award” from the Michigan Small Business Development Center.
The award goes to companies who have had success in creating jobs, increasing sales, improving their business strategy and their involvement with the Michigan SBDC.
“Our company has worked with the Michigan SBDC since the beginning,” said managing member Brent Fisher. “It is a great resource for information and guidance and the staff is top notch. With the help of the Michigan SBDC, MTW Industries, LLC has secured funding for equipment and operations.”
MTW was one of 12 companies from around the state that were selected to receive the award, according to the Michigan SBDC.
The companies were chosen from over 5,000 small businesses that the Michigan SBDC provided with confidential counseling in 2015.
“This year’s awards have a significant impact on Michigan’s economy,” said Keith Brophy, state director of the Michigan SBDC. “We are excited to take the opportunity to celebrate their success and cheer them on as they continue growing their businesses.”
MTW started out as a small farm shop in Shepherd in 2005, and has since moved to its larger facility currently in Mt. Pleasant.
“We are a full service fabrication and manufacturing company that takes pride in providing top notch quality and service to its customers, MTW said.
“Whether it’s working with provided drawings or designing your project utilizing 3-D CAD modeling, your project will receive great attention to detail.”
MTW and the other businesses who won the “Best Small Business Award” will be honored at the 12th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business Awards Gala on May 5 in Lansing.
