BAY CITY, MI -- The newest business coming to the Uptown Bay City development hopes to make every bride feel special -- and look beautiful -- on her big day.
Infinity Bridal opens at Uptown Sept. 1. The shop features wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories to give those gowns some extra flair. Customers can choose from five collections of dresses at the boutique.
A sneak peek of one of the collections, by designer Lillian West, a boho-chic inspired line, was showcased on Thursday, June 14, during a special "rooftop shopping at sunset" event.
"The collections that we have chosen to work with, in terms of bridal gowns, are exclusive to the area," said owner Britney Reed, who has worked for several years at other bridal shops. "There isn't another store in the area that carries them and then our space is much more personal and very specialized for each bride."
Dresses range in price from $800-$2000, Reed said. Sizes range from 0-32.
The bridal shop only takes two customers at a time by appointment.
"It's really nice to have that special one-on-one time and it gives us a chance to really learn about the bride and make sure she's not feeling overwhelmed,"said Reed.
Dresses can be paired with several different accessories, including those from local vendors, like Two of a Kind Floral, based in Midland.
Over the past year, Reed hasn't just been working to see her business come to life -- she's also planning her dream wedding. She's getting married in December and plans on wearing one of the dresses from the collection her store will carry.
The Uptown development is filling up with more tenants. Michigan Sugar Co. and CMURC are two of the major commercial tenants at the "Uptown Place" building in the multimillion dollar development. Infinity Bridal joins women's clothing store Omoni Boutique and crafts shop Stitchin' by the Bay on the ground level of the building.
A Brazilian steakhouse and a new Runners store is set to open on the ground level later this year.
