Veterans invited to enjoy a free meal at Old City Hall and Tavern 101 in Bay City
BAY CITY, MI - Veterans and service members can enjoy a free meal this Veteran’s Day thanks to the support of local businesses.
Downtown Restaurant Investments (DRI), which owns several restaurants in the Great Lakes Bay Region, is offering free meals to veterans and active-duty service members on Wednesday, Nov. 11, as a thank you for their service.
“As much as the Veterans of the Armed Forces have done for our country DRI Restaurants wants to serve you a meal on your day...Thank you for your service on behalf of a grateful community, nation and all of us at DRI restaurants,” said an official statement from DRI.
The following is a list of DRI’s restaurants where veterans can enjoy a free meal.
- Old City Hall, 814 Saginaw St., Bay City.
- Tavern 101 Center Ave., Bay City.
- Molasses Smokehouse, 201 E. Main St., Midland.
The offer is valid all day on Wednesday, according to DRI. Proof of service must be shown to get a free meal. DRI stated that both dine-in or take-out service will be available.
As a side note, DRI’s American Kitchen in downtown Bay City is closed as its currently in transition. The restaurant is being converted into a quick-service format barbecue joint named ‘M2’, based on DRI’s Molasses restaurant in Midland.
