Central Michigan University Board of Trustees has approved the appointment of three new members to the Central Michigan University Research Corporation (CMURC) Board of Directors.
CMU Trustee Todd Anson, CMU Vice President of Communications John Veilluex, and Soaring Eagle Gaming Chief Executive Officer Melinda Coffin will be the newest members to join the board. Their collective expertise in strategic vision, entrepreneurship, industry knowledge, marketing, and relationship building will be instrumental in promoting a dynamic ecosystem that drives economic development and fosters success in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
“Our new board members will play a pivotal role in creating an environment that encourages innovation, attracts investment, and facilitates collaboration among entrepreneurs, established businesses, academia, and corporate partners,” said CMURC President + CEO Erin Strang. “As CMURC continues to expand offerings, this new slate of members will be invaluable in opening up exciting opportunities for service providers and professionals.”

The appointees will join CMU members: President Dr. Robert O. Davies, Trustee Emeritus Rich Studley, Vice President and CFO Mary Hill, Vice President Toby Roth, Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Shawna Patterson, Vice President David Weindorf, Dean David Ford, and Director of Isabella Bank Institute of Entrepreneurship Julie Messing. Along with joining the private sector members: Raymond Gunn, Felicia Harris, Raquel Perez, Dwayne Powell Jr., Jeff Stoutenburg, and Dan Ward.
