MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich., Jan. 27, 2025 – Generations Homecare System, a trusted provider of agency management software for the homecare industry, has been acquired by HHAeXchange, a leading provider of homecare management solutions.
HHAeXchange’s acquisition of Generations brings together two companies committed to advancing technology and innovation in homecare. With demand for personal care aides expected to rise by 43% between 2020 and 2035, this partnership positions the companies to meet the evolving needs of providers, caregivers, and payers.
“This acquisition is a perfect fit because of our shared commitment to innovation and enhancing the homecare industry,” said Lisa Ferden, cofounder of Generations. “When we started Generations in 2002, we were driven by a passion to make a difference in homecare, and this milestone is a testament to that vision.”
Generations, founded by Lisa and Lance Ferden, has become a trusted name in the homecare industry, serving over 700 customers across 48 states with its agency management software. The platform connects care teams, streamlines operations, and ensures compliance for homecare providers.
“We were able to grow our business seamlessly due to our joining the CMURC community in 2014,” said Lisa Ferden. “From the connections we made to the resources we utilized, the support we received during those early days of our business was invaluable.”
Generations Homecare System began its journey in CMURC’s Mt. Pleasant cowork space in 2014 and was recognized as CMURC Entrepreneurs of the Year in 2015. Their innovative work and dedication to addressing the growing needs of the homecare industry have left a lasting impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem. To honor their contributions, CMURC named the Ferden Office at its Mt. Pleasant location after the founders.
“Their story is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit we strive to cultivate at CMURC,” said Erin Strang, President and CEO of CMURC. “Watching them grow from founders in our Mt. Pleasant cowork space to being acquired by a leader like HHAeXchange is truly inspiring and reinforces the impact of the support and resources we provide.”
This milestone serves as an inspiration for other entrepreneurs to leverage CMURC’s resources to bring their own ideas to life.
